JO-AN WEISHAN CHUNG
Music & Lyrics
I have a passion for music, which led me to start creating through a college club. Besides delving into sound design, I also enjoy crafting background music for myself and others. Writing lyrics in my native language is another aspect of my creative expression. Amidst the concern about my singing voice, I find pure delight in the rhythmic joy accompanying the music.
Walking with Meowscarada (2023)
Illustrator/ After Effects/ Logic Pro X
It was remaking the beloved character and mastering the art of rigging in After Effects was this project, though a tad unpolished, served as a rich learning experience. It also starts an extensive exploration of diverse facets within video post-production for me.
Dance All Through the Night (2022)
Procreate/ Premium Pro/ Logic Pro X
Contemplating infusing a touch of romance into my creations, I birthed this piece. It emerged as one of the most frequently performed songs during my university days, often in collaboration with friends. Even after my departure from Taiwan, my fellow club members continued to serenade audiences with it on appropriate occasions. Although it might not align entirely with my personal creative criteria, it persists as a charming melody.
百日壇 對年函(2022)
Logic Pro X
This is the soundtrack I composed for the graduation project of my animator friends. Through this experience, I gained insights into synchronizing music with visuals to evoke the desired atmosphere, crafting transitions within short musical segments, and engaging in collaborative discussions on the production process with fellow creators.
沒有星星在等候(2021)
iPhone 11 Pro / Logic Pro X
One night, as I stared at the sky and the stars, I wrote this piece. At that time, I was facing a bottleneck, immersed in profound sadness and unable to move forward. The lyrics portray a state of enduring life's challenges, even in endless despair, carrying the bitterness of existence.
本來 at first(2021)
Clip Studio Paint/ Final Cut Pro/ Logic Pro X
It's my inaugural "About Me" narrative. I opted for distinct color tones between the thumbnail and the actual cover image to mirror its title: it was intended to be like this at first, but perhaps it's no longer the case. During that time, I was still navigating software that I haven't engaged with much nowadays, still in the early stages of my journey.
